Nagy, Imre
► (1896-1958) Político húngaro. Fue jefe del gobierno en 1953-55. Dirigió la reforma agraria. Combatió el estalinismo y encauzó la revolución antisoviética hacia un gobierno comunista nacional.

(7 jun. 1896, Kaposvár, Hungría, Austria-Hungría–16 jun. 1958, Budapest, Hungría).

Político húngaro. Combatió en la primera guerra mundial, fue capturado por los rusos y se unió al Ejército Rojo. Vivió en Moscú (1929–44), luego regresó a Hungría bajo la ocupación soviética y ocupó diversos cargos ministeriales. Defensor de los derechos de los campesinos, fue primer ministro (1953–55), pero fue destituído por sus ideas independientes. Durante la Revolución húngara (1956), fue nuevamente primer ministro e intentó establecer la independencia húngara de la dominación soviética. Hizo un infructuoso llamado a Occidente para obtener ayuda contra las tropas soviéticas invasoras y fue arrestado, enjuiciado y ejecutado.
